Trisha Fortune serves as a Principal in Ryan’s Sales and Use Tax practice, based in the Firm’s Denver office. She provides multijurisdictional tax services to clients across the energy, technology, retail, petrochemical, and manufacturing industries, advising on research, planning, and education as well as audit defense and recovery strategies that address complex state and local tax obligations. Trisha partners closely with organizations to help them navigate evolving regulatory requirements while identifying opportunities to reduce risk and improve tax efficiency.
With more than 20 years of state and local tax experience, Trisha brings a practical, technically grounded approach shaped by leadership roles in public accounting and prior service with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. She is known for translating complex tax rules into clear, actionable guidance aligned with business objectives.
In addition to her client work, Trisha is highly engaged in professional education and regularly speaks for the Council On State Taxation, Institute for Professionals in Taxation, and Tax Executives Institute, contributing to the advancement of state and local tax knowledge across the profession.
