Evan Hovius is a Principal in Ryan’s Real Property Tax practice, based in the Firm’s Mississauga office. He leads property tax assessment, valuation, and appeal engagements for commercial, industrial, office, multiresidential, and development land properties. Evan guides strategy and service delivery across large, multiasset portfolios, working closely with clients and Ryan colleagues to navigate complex assessment environments and achieve fair, defensible outcomes.

With extensive experience spanning private-sector consulting and public-sector assessment, Evan brings deep technical knowledge and a practical, solutions-oriented approach to client service. His background includes advising regional and national clients on property tax strategy, appearing as an expert witness before the Assessment Review Board, and managing Alternative Dispute Resolution processes.
