Alan Decker is a Principal and Vice Practice Leader in Ryan’s Transaction Tax practice, where he advises clients on complex, multijurisdictional transaction tax matters, including audit defense, tax recovery, and managed services. In addition to his client-facing responsibilities, Alan serves as Vice Practice Leader for the Transaction Tax practice, with a primary focus on overseeing and managing the practice’s overall financial performance, along with a broad range of operational and strategic responsibilities.

With 20 years of experience, Alan is widely recognized for his deep technical expertise across multiple jurisdictions and his ability to translate complex tax issues into clear, practical guidance. Throughout his career, he has helped clients secure more than $500 million in transaction tax savings.
