He advises clients on complex, multijurisdictional sales and use tax matters, helping organizations identify tax savings opportunities, manage audit risk, and implement defensible compliance strategies. Gerard works closely with clients across healthcare, manufacturing, utilities, refining, and transportation industries to navigate evolving indirect tax requirements with clarity and confidence.
With more than 15 years at Ryan, Gerard brings deep institutional knowledge and a strong technical foundation to his client work. He is actively involved in advancing technical excellence within the Firm through leadership of internal education and professional development initiatives. Gerard is also a frequent presenter for Ryan clients and internal audiences, contributing practical insight on sales and use tax issues, audit defense, and controversy resolution.
