Greg Rottjakob

Overview

Greg Rottjakob is a Principal and National Leader of Ryan’s State Income and Franchise Tax (SIFT) consulting practice. He brings more than 35 years of state and local tax experience, advising corporations on strategies designed to increase shareholder value through disciplined, quantitative tax solutions. Greg works closely with executive leadership teams to address complex multistate income and franchise tax matters, including audit defense, controversy resolution, restructuring initiatives, and refund opportunities.

Greg is widely recognized for his leadership in developing and executing corporate tax strategies related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), legal entity restructuring, and multistate planning. Before joining Ryan, he held numerous national leadership roles at a large accounting firm, where he led multistate tax practices, indirect tax services, and major metropolitan offices. Greg is also a frequent speaker for professional and industry organizations, contributing thought leadership on evolving state tax issues and practical approaches to risk management and value creation.
