David Lyon is a private markets investor with extensive experience in capital solutions, portfolio management, and value creation across credit and equity investments. As head of Neuberger Capital Solutions, he brings a disciplined investment perspective shaped by decades of experience across private equity, hedge funds, and institutional asset management.
Prior to joining Neuberger Berman in 2014, David held senior investment roles at Ellis Lake Capital and D.E. Shaw, where he managed multibillion-dollar portfolios across credit and equity strategies. He also served as a managing director at The Cypress Group, a $3.5 billion private equity fund, where he was a member of the Investment Committee, and was an early professional at Och-Ziff Capital Management. David began his career in mergers and acquisitions at Goldman Sachs. His experience includes board service across public and private companies, and his contributions are characterized by strong financial acumen, disciplined execution, and a focus on long-term value creation.
