Mariana Príncipe is a Principal at Ryan and based in the Braga office, where she leads the Firm’s global VAT Compliance and VAT Consulting practices. She oversees worldwide service delivery, guiding a team of more than 100 tax professionals who support clients across multiple jurisdictions.

Mariana leads a team that provides comprehensive international VAT support, covering both the strategic advisory aspects of VAT Consulting and the operational delivery of VAT Compliance. Through the VAT Consulting practice, her team helps multinational organisations define clear, future‑ready VAT strategies. In parallel, the VAT Compliance practice manages and executes clients’ indirect tax obligations across diverse global jurisdictions. By integrating these two practices, Mariana ensures clients benefit from seamless end‑to‑end support that reduces administrative burden and frees internal resources.

Central to her leadership approach is the combined power of technology and human expertise. Mariana oversees the delivery of services through Ryan’s proprietary VAT platform, VAT.com, which enables consistent, efficient, and scalable global compliance while maintaining the personal attention and reliability of a dedicated team.
