Overview
Doug Deason is an investor, business leader, and philanthropist with deep experience in capital allocation, portfolio management, and organizational governance. He serves as president of The Deason Foundation and president of Deason Capital Services, the Deason family office, which oversees a diversified investment platform with approximately $1.5 billion in assets under management across public equities and debt, private equity, private credit, real estate, oil and gas, hedge funds, and other alternative investments. Doug brings a long-term, owner-oriented perspective informed by decades of leadership across operating companies, investment platforms, and mission-driven organizations.
Doug previously served as chief executive officer of Precept Builders, Inc., a nationwide commercial construction firm, and as co-managing partner of Evergreen Realty Partners, a commercial and multifamily development company. He also served as CEO of Precept Business Services, a publicly traded services company. In addition to serving on the Board of Managers of Ryan, LLC, Doug currently serves on the boards of Galaxy Digital (NASDAQ: GLXY), Dallas Capital Bank, and Great American Media, where he serves as chairman. Through his philanthropic and civic leadership, Doug is an outspoken advocate for criminal justiceand education reform, working with bipartisan organizations at the state and national levels.
